Join us for our next Third Wednesday gathering on May 20th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. After a dinner for all ages in Knox's Northside House, children and youth will head to age-appropriate programs, and there will be a presentation and discussion for adults on the topic of considering the lilies of the field - and the bugs!
In Jesus' sermon on the Mount, he calls his disciples to recognize God's gracious provision as they observe the birds of the air and the lilies of the field (Matthew 6:25-32). For our May Third Wednesday gathering, those of all ages are invited to even consider the bugs and the soil - and God's gracious and renewing work in the natural world. We will be welcoming master gardener, composter, and earth steward Giangelo Leos, a celebrated speaker and the Education and Garden Program Director for Food Ed. Gio will be showing us some of God's wondrous bugs and creatures - and how they contribute to composting and soil renewal. And we'll be reflecting on how God is at work bringing new life out of decay, and restoration to all that God has made.
